Diagnostic
What this usually looks like before we start.
Off-the-shelf software covers the common case. The part that differentiates a business is usually the part no vendor sells.
- A product idea with no route to a first release
- A prototype that cannot carry real users
- Features bolted onto software never meant to hold them
- No clear owner for the application after launch
- Releases that are risky enough to avoid
Scope sheet
What we build
Focused capabilities assembled around the way your team already works.

- 01Web applications
- 02Progressive web applications
- 03Mobile applications
- 04APIs and back-end services
- 05Authentication and permissions
- 06Third-party integrations
- 07Automated testing
- 08Release and deployment pipelines
Method
A practical route from friction to a working system.
- 01Agree the first release and what it must do
- 02Design the data model and the key journeys
- 03Build in slices that can be used and reviewed
- 04Test, instrument, and release
- 05Support, measure, and iterate
Outcomes
And what it looks like once it is working.
The work is documented and the code is yours. Arctos can continue supporting it or hand it to your team.
- An application shaped to how the work actually runs
- A release process the team can repeat safely
- A codebase another developer can pick up

Notes and answers
Questions worth asking
Q01How is this different from custom software?
Custom software usually means internal tools and portals that support an existing operation. This is for a product application with its own users, releases, and roadmap.
Q02Can you take over an existing application?
Yes. That normally starts with a review of the codebase, the deployment setup, and the highest-risk parts.
Q03Do you build native mobile apps?
Arctos builds progressive web applications and cross-platform mobile applications, and will say when a fully native build is the better answer.
